CHIDINMA (“CHI-CHI”) OKOGBUEPARTNER focuses her practice on government contract disputes under the Contract Disputes Act of 1978, general commercial dispute litigation, and general corporate counsel.  She also handles foreclosure and immigration matters on behalf of under-served clientele.

Before joining Holmes Pittman & Haraguchi, Chi-Chi was an associate at Cogent Law Group in Washington, D.C. There, she worked at the intersection of law and technology managing a team maintaining a database of large corporate transactions licensed by Lexis-Nexis and reviewing corporate SEC filings and reporting requirements. Chi-Chi also supported the firm’s cryptocurrency compliance practice with regulatory research of the Bank Secrecy Act, FinCen Advisory papers, and other federal and state regulations, policies and agency commentary for the issuance of white papers.

As a law student, Chi-Chi was Editor for the Africa i-Parliaments Clinic. There, she conducted policy research on economic and cultural influences on behavior to propose legislation to help solve infrastructure issues within African nations. Chi-Chi also volunteered as a student attorney with the consumer debt division of the New York State Courts Access to Justice Program, in the Manhattan and Brooklyn Civil Courts, advocating for pro se litigants against inequitable practices by third-party debt collectors and finance institutions.

In addition to practicing law, Chi-Chi's interests include apparel design and assisting her family with their peanut manufacturing company.
